It's entirely possible this could be some kind of demonic entity which has manifested itself in human voice form and is only making itself known to specific individuals who frequent certain unprotected threads here at Fool Moon. I'm thinking, posting in an unprotected zone is kinda like having unprotected you-know-what.

I personally have not heard the munchkin version of "Hellllloooo!" It's also a bit odd that I only hear the hello voices late at night when everyone else is asleep, and it seems she makes a point of saying it over and over...for 5 or 6 times in a row sometimes, and as if that weren't bad enough, sometimes there are *TWO* of them who say it in unison!!! Talk about being jolted back to reality at 2 am.

As for your incredulity that I might be hearing a "heeelllloooo" that sounds like it is being intoned by a munchkin, it isn't exactly like hearing a chorus of the "Lollipop Guild" coming out of my speakers. Just "helllooooo."

And I'm sure I don't hear multiple voices nor do I hear a a "she" saying it "over and over again." Are you sure these voices you're hearing in you head at 2:00am aren't some sort of, you know, paranoid manifestation or something?

Are you sure it isn't you wife trying to get your attention and wondering what the hell you're doing up at 2:00am tapping away at a computer keyboard instead of getting you butt to bed like you're supposed to, at least in her opinion?

While watching Wall-E about 2 am last night...I missed it at the theaters and bought it yesterday when it became available for sale. I kept hearing the computer make it's Mac "turn on" sound (!) I looked around...nothing! Then in happened again...a little later in the movie.(sort of freaking me out now..) I thought, how weird...is my computer about to crash? It was at the end of the movie, I realized Wall-E was making that sound! Clever Steve Jobs and his Pixar animators!

Not 100% sure, no. At first I thought it was simply someone in the FoolMoon admin., perhaps an eccentric moderator, who concocted this "Heelllllll-oooooooooo!" thing as a way of amusing themselves, but now...I'm not so sure because thus far I have not experienced the munchkin version. Are there other versions, and if so, how many? Might these greetings be individually tailored for certain poster profiles? Is it based on the stuff I put in my profile I wonder? Is there some type of hidden subliminal message imbedded in these strange hellos?



My wife seldoms tries to get my attention these days, and when she does, she usually regrets having done so. I'm not sure what I meant by that, but it was the first thing that popped into my head. At least it's reassuring to know she also hears the voices, or does she? Another thing I've noticed is that for several minutes after hearing the hello voice, I suddenly begin to mispell common words, often reversing all the vowels and sometimes the consonants as well. Of late I also have developed a late night craving for cashew nuts and large bottles of cheap Australian wine, especially the ones with stylized kangaroos on the label.

All these issues are actually linked. An artificial intelligence installed on anonymous' computer is slowly converting users. It lures a user into a small out of the way forum by way calling out to them while they are online. Once trapped the user fades into a blank space and then becomes a new version of the virus.
The user's empty body is then taken over and controlled by the artificial intelligence.

So that's how it works then? That explains why my wife keeps asking me to do weird things which I never did before, or even considered doing. There's more than one of me isn't there? I've been cloned by this artificial intelligence you mentioned, and various versions of myself are living in my house and taking turns at being me. That also explains the smile on her face. She's having fun with all those mes behind our backs.

That still doesn't explain why sometimes I hear more than one woman's voice at a time calling out "HEEellloooooOOOOOO!" or why I automatically go for the cashew nuts and cheap wine or why I have cuddlefish bones in all my drawers and pants pockets or why I keep receiving packages of rum cake and offers of matrimonial bliss from a 27 year old Ukrainian woman named Melina.
