Hello lizbeth, grin

Thanks for your reply .....

Back a lot of years ago, I was told by a doctor or two, take one
of the over counter things like tums.
And I did and it helped, only after a while I need'ed to take more.
And then some one told me those are not good for you.
So now I understand why they are not good for me .

Since I have not taken any thing in the last week.
And it seems like the chewing gum has done its job.
Through all of this I was just wondering if there was some thing
that would repair [if need] with the herbs.

As for Angina, no I do not have that ! I am sure.......
Our son does, and he has way different things going on..
He went to the doctor about that.
Thank you for the list and help....

Hi Grams,

Apple Cider Vinegar is also excellent for folks with certain types of arthritis. If you can get organic ACV do so, it tends to be a bit cloudier than treated kinds, but simply shake the bottle.

Penny Royal tea is also excellent for indigestion. It is a type of mint and is a bit more palatable for those who don't like a really minty tea.

Hugs

Tutti

Hello tutti,

Thank you ! I have been using the apple cider for quite some
time ! Organic , we do use as much [organic]as possible.
And I could not find one that was organic, and I bought a regular one.
Oh it was terrible..
I had tried the ginger, in place of the over the counter pills.
and I guess that will take some time to work.

We send for tea, from a place I cant mention , one of the organic
places. H.H. And I have enough for 2 years of a peppermint. I guess
I was given the wrong advise on that ? Along with camomile, [if that is spelled correct]

How are you doing ?

co-enzyme Q-10 is helpful in "roto-rooting" your arteries to help remove built-up arterial plaque.

I'm not a doctor, so I can't prescribe this for you, but please read up on it, Grams.

Hello Dax, I was taking that 2 years ago .
Only thing is I really like ice cream, and was told that
is the worse for me. But I have cut down. Only wish I could
find some thing to replace that taste !

Been having the soy ice cream .... But I heard soy is not good either.
It used to be ! But they have been playing with that to change it !
The water is no good the air is not good .... Gee whats left ?

Where did you hear soy is not good? Aside from your son.

I mean, Grams, I can sympathize with much of what your boy says, but a lot of it really is a bit off the wall. Take the whole fluoride conspiracy, for example. It's not nearly as damaging as him and his sources make it out to be.

He seems to be a bit of an alarmist. Don't ya think?

I'm way too lazy to research this but there have been recent studies suggesting that an overabundance of soy in the diet is harmful.

It isn't just some scambola junk science "study" put out by anti-soy forces, but real medical information.

Grams: why were you told ice cream is bad for you? Are you lactose-intolerant?

You know--all the medical information that was true when I was a kid is untrue today.

When my father suffered a heart attack in 1949, his Doctor suggested that smoking would relax him, and the doctor would in fact offer him a cigarette in his (the doc's) office.

Things that were thought bad for you are now good, good things are bad, vitamin E which people took to help prevent heart disease is now found to help cause it when overused.

It reminds me of Steve Martin's old sketch on Saturday Night Live, where he is playing a medieval barber-doctor, and says to a patient "We used to think that stomach pain was caused by evil spirits, but now we know that the real cause is a small dwarf living inside your tummy."

If yesterday's medical science has always been junk, what will say of today's latest developments tomorrow?

Hello Dax,

Yes I am lactose-intolerant ! BUT, that is not the reason I said
this.
When I had my blockage, I told the doctor I did eat a lot of
ice cream. And he said that was one of the reasons I had the blockage.,
amongst other things. But the ice cream was , since I did eat so much of it. At one point in my life I was having it every day.

Soy was once good for you ! But since they have in years tried to do things to improve it, they really have not , and have done the opposite of that.
Milk was good also till they started to homogenize and pasteurise it ! If they would have
just kept things clean along the way from milking the animal to the bottle, that would have
been the best thing to do.
