We can start with this. Rush Limbaugh referring to Chelsea Clinton as the White House dog. Did a dog just yelp? Does it get any more misogynistic that that? This is the response I get when I ask you to join me in condemning hypocrisy?
Not at all, Helice...I believe my post was in response to Ray's post wherein he wrote: Whoooo Hooooo! Z-I-N-G! Gotcha again, Lawmage. Dang! I love a gal with spirit, don't you? Believe it or not, Helice, not everything is about you. No they aren't, but Ray's was, and your response to his was, and to watch you try to squirm out of it is something nobody should have to see. Who do you think your kidding with that lame "it's not about you, Helice?" How stupid do you think the readers of this board are? They don't ALL watch Fox News, come on. As for condemning hypocracy, sure, I condemn it. However, here I must be very careful about doing so as it might offend the powers that be and precipitate some sort of negative reaction. I suppose I could restrict myself to condemning hypocrits on the right and thereby be assured of approval here. However, my own sense of integrity requires a bit more than that. You offend the powers that be on this board each and every day, so you wouldn't be doing anything unusual, but surely you know from your time on staff here that we don't censor posts for political content, not yours nor anyone else's. Instead of finding your posts deleted, you find vigorous response, a large percentage of which is telling you that you're ideas are so much horseshit, and you don't like that. I don't blame you, I don't like it either, but that's the way it is. Interesting how you just jumped right to the conclusion I was attacking and trying to hurt you though...I suppose your own attacks on me make that something you expected. She didn't jump to any conclusion, it's right there in print on the screen. You're like the guy leading an elephant on a leash, and when asked about it says "What elephant?" You're like those guys on cops who deny they have drugs while holding a baggie in their hand. You attacked, end of story, you can twist it and spin it, it makes no difference, you're wrong. You did attack. It was an attack. If Ray is honest, he'll agree with me as well. If he's honest. However, since you are apparently so concerned about hypocracy, Helice, will you join me in condemning those who dismissed Clinton's infidelities and criminal acts, such as perjury and obstruction, yet seek to make an issue of McCain's alleged infidelities or Libby's perjury? The difference between these two acts is that Clinton lied under oath about a personal matter, while Libby lied under oath about a matter of utmost importance to the country, and to the integrity of the entire Republican party, and to our justice system, and to the way we deal with high level crimes committed by a corrupt administration. I find those things more important than a blowjob, but apparently you find them of equal value.

So what? Is Rush Limbaugh involved in this discussion? Dax wrote: How stupid do you think the readers of this board are? They don't ALL watch Fox News, come on.
Maybe I think they are exactly as stupid as Obama suggested the electorate is... Dax wrote: You did attack. It was an attack. If Ray is honest, he'll agree with me as well. If he's honest.
An attack? Sure, why not...that seems to be the thing to do here at Fool Moon now if the conduct of our Administrators is any indiciation of acceptable behavior. Or, is that part of the "new and improved" Fool Moon...the left is free to attack but attacks by the right are strictly verboten...and the left gets to define what constitutes an attack. Dax wrote: The difference between these two acts is that Clinton lied under oath about a personal matter, Ahh...and therein lies the hypocracy of the left. Clinton would have been just fine to have told the indpendent prosecutor the pack sand and refused to answer the questions or even to have taken the 5th. Instead he elected to lie...You seem to think thats okay since it was a personal matter. I say, bullhist! He lied in a misquided effort to spare himself political and personal embarassment and to protet himself from criminal and civil sanctions that might have arisen from his conduct. Forgive me, Dax (and Helice) but I have a hard time joining hypocrits in a call to condemn hypocracy...its all so, well...hypocritcal.

You might remember it wasn't until they moved to the White House that Buddy the Retriever came to live with them. All U.S. presidents in the past 100 years have a dog, don't cha know? Oh Ray, you slick little cutie pie, I bet you forgot we all have The INTERNET to look up which year the Clintons got Buddy. And it sure was not in the 1st Clinton term, not in 1993. Why is 1993 an issue, I hear you ask? Wait for it. this is twice you've made reference to this alledged quote by Rush Limbaugh. Rush said it as a slam when the child was about 12 years old. I remember it clearly, because it was around the time that Limbaugh was a guest on the David Letterman show, and forgot for a moment that he wasn't talking to his ditto-heads, and told Letterman that the First Lady, who had recently appeared in a magazine photo series, looked "Like a hood ornament", and rose from the guest chair and stood on one leg with arms extended, presumably to show the type of hood ornament that Mrs. Clinton resembled. He seemed surprised when instead of laughs, there was a second or two of silence, then a few scattered boos from Letterman's audience. Letterman stared down at his desk briefly, and said "Yeah, well, of course you can say that, being the finest looking human specimen on the planet...", at which the audience howled derisively until Letterman held up his hands and asked them to stop. Limabaugh appeared to be visibly shaken that his joke about Mrs. Clinton looking like a hood ornament had not only not brought laughs, but had been turned against him, and for the remainder of his segment was uncharacteristically subdued. Dax and I, both being Letterman fans from way back, were both watching that show. Want to opine that this couldn't have gone the way I say it did? Want to? So, yes, the time that Limbaugh called little Chelsea Clinton "the White House dog" was when she was just about 12 or 13. On his syndicated TV show, (when he still had one around 1993-ish), Limbaugh put up a picture of Socks, the White House cat, and asked, "Everyone knows the Clintons have a cat. Socks is the White House cat. But did you know there is also a White House dog?" Then he put up a picture of Chelsea Clinton, who was 13 years old at the time. Boy, that guy is funny, huh? I wonder what he would think of to say about Sarah Palin's children... if they were only the children of a Democrat. When his own viewers objected to this rather nasty bit of work against a little girl, he claimed that his 'gag' was an accident and that without his permission some technician had put up the picture of Chelsea. Of course, it could not have been an accident, because the Clintons owned no dog at the time. You wouldn't like to suggest that I misremember it, would you....? Would you?? I looked up the John S. McCain statement and it turns out that yes, in 1998 he sure did say : "Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno." At least he had the shame (or intelligent enough handlers to pressure him) to apologize for what he said. And he did apologize, just like he grinningly apologize for that cute joke about how ladies just luuuuuv being raped to death by gorillas. Gotta love that charm! That shows John S. McCain has real class, he knows he should apologize for saying that little girls who happen to be daughters of political opponents are ugly. Class act, 100%. Want to say that this never happened? Want to? Oh, God bless YouTube. If you want to say you think I have said something inacurrate, oh please, PLEASE say so?
