Not strictly a computer question, but I'm stumped on how how to get my phone to do what I want.

At some point, my phone service turned on Caller ID blocking on my outgoing calls I didn't do it myself). As a result, many people I call who have their phones set to reject anonymous calls are rejecting my calls.

How the heck can I permanently change this so that I'm not blocking my info any more?

Call the provider and tell them to stop blocking the calls. It's a service thing, not a phone thing.

Perhaps you can have your name and number published on one of those telephone directories. Would that force the telephone company to remove the block, or automatically trigger a process within their bureaucracy which would lead to a removal?

Same thing happened to me recently Helice. Most annoying is that I did not request a change to my service. They just went ahead and did it. I called them up and they told me it was a system upgrade thing. This may well be correct, but I would have thought they would have saved settings before they upgraded.

Most annoying, certainly I don't answer calls with a blocked or hidden ID. So I was getting very lonely lol. Only discovered the problem because someone sent me an email and asked if I had been away.
